I am a student, and therefore I have to learn a lot of dog breeds. I don't have a dog but there are some breeds I really like.
Alaskan Malamute:
Alaskan Malamutes are large working dogs. They have been used through the years as sled dogs, but aren't as fast in the long run as huskies. Originally bred as a sled dog they were taught to think independently which sometimes results in them being a bit stubborn. They are highly intelligent and loyal.
Akita:
The Akita comes from Japan. Unchanged for centuries, this breed is considered the national dog of Japan and a natural monument. They were highly prized, and only owned by nobility and aristocracy. They were used in various capacities such as Imperial guards, hunter of bear and boar, and waterfowl retrieving. They are the largest of the Spitz-type breeds. Today, the Akita is a faithful companion, therapy dog, and guard dog.
I don't know how Akitas or Alaskan Malamutes are in real life, because I never had one but I like their appearance. I'm open for reactions about other breeds, so please tell me.
When I was searching on the internet, I found an article about a new hype in China. It seems there are new accessories on the market. These accessories are made of real, living animals. I think it's sick.
In Beijing, China, keychains are sold with little fish, reptiles and turtles in it. The sellers are saying it isn't cruel, because there is a 'special' liquid in the keychains that provides food and oxygen for the animals. Research shows that isn't true at all. The animals are dead after a couple of days.

You'll find these 20cm long creatures 2,5km below sea level in the Atlantic and the Pacific ocean.
The Grimphoteuthis got his name as a dumbo octopus because of his fins, that look like small ears on top of his head. His body is jelly-like and very soft.
The dumbo octopus moves bij moving his fins and 'arms'. He only goes to the bottum of the sea to eat. He's meal consists worms and snails.
